Registration and Payment
How to Enrol
Follow these easy steps to enrol in CPE courses.
Select the course or program you would like to register for on the Courses and Programs page.
Click on the ‘Enrol Now’ button near the top of the page in the Overview section.
- If there are multiple course offerings, the button will read ‘See Additional Offerings’ and will take you to a section within the course details below with available course dates. Click on your preferred offering date to continue to enrolment.
This will open a new page in UBCO’s Canvas Catalog to process your registration.
Please note: If a course has an application process, you must apply before you can enrol in the specific course. Please check the requirements section for more detailed information on program or course eligibility.
Once on the offering page in UBCO’s Canvas Catalog, you will see the ‘Enrol’ button, along with the registration fee amount and additional course details. To continue the registration process, click ‘Enrol’.
You may register for more than one course at once by selecting the ‘Add to Cart’ button and returning to the Courses and Programs page to continue browsing. Once you have added all the courses you would like to take, proceed to checkout and complete the registration and payment steps.
Once you click the ‘Enroll’ button, you will be taken to a new page with the option to sign in or register for a new UBCO’s Canvas Catalog account. You must have a UBCO’s Canvas Catalog account or a UBC Campus-wide Login (CWL) to continue the registration process.
If you already have an account, select the ‘Sign in here’ button to continue the registration process and sign in using either your UBCO’s Canvas Catalog or CWL account.
If you do not have an account, complete your information where prompted, and click ‘Register New Account’ to register for a UBCO’s Canvas Catalog account. A verification email will be sent to the email address you provided. You must verify your account before you can access your courses.
- Please note that some courses require a CWL account. This will be specified in the course details. For more information on creating a CWL account, please see these instructions.
Once you have signed in with your UBCO’s Canvas Catalog or CWL account, you will be brought to the checkout page. If you have a coupon code, enter it in the “Promotion Code” field and select ‘Apply’ before proceeding to payment.
Click the ‘Pay and Enroll’ button to continue.
- Please note, if the course is free, you can directly ‘Enrol’ into the course and skip the payment steps.
Once the secure payment screen loads, enter your payment information, including billing address and contact information, to complete your registration. Once all the details are filled in, select ‘Continue’ to process your payment and finalize your registration.
You are now successfully enrolled in the course. An email will be sent automatically to the email address you provided to confirm your registration.
All fees are payable in Canadian dollars and are due before the start date of your course or program. Payment for our courses is made using VISA or Mastercard through our online system. Other payment methods may be available only for select courses and programs —please check the additional information section on the course details page before reaching out to the unit responsible for your course or program. Your registration is complete when we receive your full fee payment.
Special offers and discounts cannot be retroactively applied to completed transactions.
Please review your course details to review what is included in your course fee, including course materials, textbooks and taxes. Not all courses are subjected to tax. Where tax is applicable, it is included in the registration fee.
Refunds and Withdrawals
If you would like to withdraw from a course, please submit written notice via email by the date mentioned on the course information page. If eligible, a refund will take 5 – 7 business days to complete (less a $50 administration fee). We cannot offer refunds for requests received after the course cancellation date.
We are sometimes forced to cancel courses due to insufficient enrolment or other reasons. If this happens, we offer a full refund and send it to you automatically.
Financial support is not available for Continuing and Professional Education courses and programs at this time. Specific programs or courses may provide financial assistance. Please contact your course or program administrator to inquire.
Proof of Enrolment
An email notification will be sent to the email address provided upon registration. Unofficial transcripts can be printed from your UBCO’s Canvas Catalog dashboard.
